The oldest craft brewery in Texas, Saint Arnold Brewing Company is nestled in the heart of downtown Houston.

Since 1994, the beer garden and restaurant has been serving up some of the best sips and bar snacks in the Lone Star State - and their hard work and dedication haven't gone unnoticed.

A panel of beer experts ranked Saint Arnold among the top 20 outdoor beer gardens in America as part of the 2021 USA Today Readers' Choice Awards.

Of those nominations, readers voted for their favorite in hopes it will be crowned the winner. We'll find out on Friday, March 26!

So what makes this longstanding brewery worthy of a spot on the list?

The reasons are aplenty, but if we had to pick one, it would be that everything is done in-house. From brewing all the way to bottling, not a single step of the process is outsourced. When you take a sip of beer, delight in knowing it has never seen the outside of the facility - you can really taste the difference!

Around two dozen different beers are available at any given time. Some are year-round, others seasonal, and still others limited edition.

From pils to IPA, there's something to please every beer-loving palate. The best part? Enjoying your drink while taking in unparalleled views of the Space City skyline.

Every beer garden worth talking about has an extensive food menu to soak up the alcohol, and Saint Arnold is no exception.

You can't go wrong with Bavarian soft pretzels - especially when they're served with mustard and cheese dip.

Since the brewery doubles as a restaurant, the grub goes beyond just bar snacks.

There's pizza made with hand-tossed dough, mac 'n cheese, sandwiches, and several more delicious offerings. Plus, a suggested beer pairing is listed next to each menu item!

Hours are 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, and 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
